Card two · Name the form

Are “with DAC” and “without DAC” the same?

No. The names sound like versions of one product, but the FDA treats them as different active ingredients.

Short answer

CJC-1295 with DAC has a chemical hook that binds to albumin, a common blood protein; the form without DAC does not.

The FDA says the two active ingredients are not interchangeable.

Why the extra letters matter

In healthy adults, the DAC form had an estimated half-life of about six to eight days. Half-life means the time it takes for the amount in the body to fall by half.

The FDA found no study in people of the form without DAC; the human work appears to have used the DAC form.

The one-line question to keep

“Is this the version with DAC or without it, and in which salt? Which study tested that exact version?”

The salt is the small partner chemical the ingredient is sold with, such as acetate. A clear label names it, so a vague answer is worth noticing.

Keep this line

If the form is vague, the evidence and the product identity are vague too.
