Card three · Read listings correctly

Does a drug-code listing prove approval?

No. A directory entry can exist for a raw ingredient without an approved medicine behind it.

Short answer

An NDC (National Drug Code) number is a catalogue number, not an FDA approval.

As of September 2026, federal drug-code results for CJC-1295 described bulk ingredients, while the FDA application search found no approved drug.

Two databases, two jobs

The drug-code directory catalogues listed products. The application database is where an approved drug application would appear.

The FDA warns that an NDC assignment does not mean it verified the listing or approved the product.

A better way to ask

Ask for the approval application and the official label, not merely a code or a screenshot of a database row.

Keep this line

A database result can be real and still be used to create a false impression.
