Card four · Decode the FDA table

Did the FDA clear it after a request was withdrawn?

No. The request came from outside groups, and those groups took it back.

Short answer

CJC-1295 sits in a table of withdrawn compounding requests, not in an approval list, on an FDA page marked current as of April 22, 2026.

The FDA still prints its safety concerns beside the entry, including faster heart rate, flushing-type reactions and limited clinical data.

What was withdrawn

A nomination is a request to consider a raw ingredient for pharmacy compounding. Withdrawing the request is not the FDA approving, clearing or endorsing the ingredient.

As of September 2026, the compound was not on the official federal list of extra ingredients allowed for ordinary pharmacy compounding.

The wording that matters

Look for one of three plain signs: the FDA calls it an approved drug; it is on the federal list of raw ingredients pharmacies may use; or the FDA has published a final rule allowing it. “Withdrawn nomination” means none of those things.

Keep this line

Moving to a different table on an FDA web page did not turn it into an approved or allowed medicine.
