Card fourteen · Natural does not settle the answer

If it raises a natural hormone, is it safe?

No. Changing a natural system can still create risk, especially when long-term evidence is missing.

Short answer

CJC-1295 raises growth hormone, and the FDA says it may share risks found on growth-hormone labels.

Those concerns include higher blood sugar, fluid build-up and increased tumour risk; long-term human safety remains unknown.

The immune-system question

The FDA is concerned that the body could make antibodies against the compound.

Because the compound closely resembles the body's own growth-hormone-releasing hormone, the brain signal that tells the pituitary gland to release growth hormone, those antibodies might also react with that natural signal.

Why short studies cannot close the question

Most of the 63 healthy adults in the published human studies got only one shot.

That evidence cannot answer what repeated use over a long period would do.

Keep this line

Raising a hormone the body already makes is not the same as being safe. “Natural” does not settle whether it is harmless.
